Quick thought about marriage

Marriage should be about content not composition but unfortunately things do not work out like we plan. I don't understand why some people have a need to force their beliefs on to others. Is this not America? Our forefathers fought for our rights to speak our minds and to be treated as equals and not as lesser beings. This ideology of the land of the free is only a statement and not put into action. What a disappointment to those who put their lives on the line during the hard time so we would not have to struggle.
